Alhamdulillah, grateful for the opportunity bestowed upon Spectre MD to participate in the Working Visit and Engagement with Waqaf Organizations in the Middle East countries, organized by the Waqaf Foundation of Malaysia under the leadership of YBrs. Dr. Ridzwan. The mission will venture to the countries of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the Sultanate of Oman, and Kuwait. The primary objective of this working visit is to highlight the potential of waqaf and related investment opportunities, particularly focusing on high-impact waqaf projects, including the increasingly relevant concept of digital waqaf in today’s era of globalization.
The first leg of the journey brings Spectre MD and the delegation from the Waqaf Foundation of Malaysia to the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. There, Spectre MD engages in strategic discussions regarding the direction of waqaf in Malaysia. These discussions emphasize investment aspects and high-potential waqaf projects, with a special focus on the digital waqaf concept, which is becoming increasingly important in confronting the challenges of globalization. Other than that, Spectre MD also not only focuses on Waqaf Digital but healthcare, Food Security and Education.
This discussion has gone smoothly and all ideas have been well received by the Islamic Development Bank.
In every meeting, Spectre MD and representatives from the Waqaf Foundation of Malaysia provide comprehensive explanations regarding waqaf investment opportunities in Malaysia, while highlighting the digital waqaf concept as an innovation with positive implications in today’s globalized context.
Through this visit, Spectre MD and the Waqaf Foundation of Malaysia aim to open doors to collaboration and investment opportunities in the waqaf sector between Malaysia and the countries of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the Sultanate of Oman, and Kuwait. With the increasing awareness of waqaf potential and the importance of the digital waqaf concept, it is hoped that this will serve as a catalyst for the development and welfare of both local and global communities.
